About Jocelyn Jewellery
My name is Jocelyn Aubrey and I am the owner and creative force behind Jocelyn Jewellery. I am a self-taught jewellery artisan and have been making jewellery for several years in my country home in the beautiful Cavan Hills southwest of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
It all began when I discovered a store that sold semi-precious gemstone beads and I realized that I could make that Malachite necklace I had always wanted but could never afford. I soon discovered that there is a wealth of information readily available about how to make jewellery. I learned the many techniques that I now use from books and magazines, classes (both face-to-face and online), and from tutorials bought on the internet. After that – lots and lots of practice!
Now that I am retired, I can devote more time to creating jewellery. It was a logical next step to start selling my work, especially when friends (and strangers) who like my jewellery asked when I was going to start selling it. I work with precious metals (sterling and Argentium silver and both yellow and rose 14k gold-filled wire), semi-precious gemstones, and organic materials like pearls, amber and coral. My creations are elegant and generally traditional in style.
I hope you get as much enjoyment from wearing my jewellery as I do when I make it.
